Years of programme delivery
Since the programme launched in 1998, the Export-Akademie Baden-Württemberg has been an active partner in international management training — helping more than 15,000 decision-makers from 21 countries initiate and grow business with Germany.
Every year, we host various international groups and support participants in developing their leadership competencies and expanding their international business. Programmes are delivered both virtually and in a face-to-face format, using tools we have developed specifically for this purpose.
Together with the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH, we developed the “Fit for Partnership with Germany” competency model — built on the IMLead® Heptathlon management concept. This model forms the framework for all programme phases.

Management Model
All our management and leadership trainings, case studies, and company visits are structured around the seven fields of the IMLead® Heptathlon concept. It provides the backbone for how we design and deliver every programme phase — ensuring participants leave with an integrated, applicable leadership system.
Healthcare & Medical Technology Cooperation Delegations from Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan explored economic cooperation in the healthcare sector through visits to Aesculap, CeGaT GmbH, Erbe Elektromedizin, AID Autoimmun Diagnostika, HanseMerkur Krankenversicherung, and the University Hospital Tübingen — complemented by training in HR management and intercultural management.
Economic Cooperation Delegation Vietnamese executives visited a broad cross-section of German industry — including Hochdorfer Kronenbrauerei, TRIGEMA, Alb Gold, SchwörerHaus KG, Daimler Sindelfingen, Interstuhl, and GreenSinnergy — gaining firsthand insight into German manufacturing, sustainability, and business practices.
Green Technology Cooperation Vietnamese delegation immersed in Germany’s green technology ecosystem — visiting the Intersolar/ees Europe trade fair, SCHMID Group, Stadtwerke Tübingen’s Solar Thermal Park, EnBW’s pumped-storage hydropower plant, Theben, Kärcher, and TÜV SÜD — gaining end-to-end exposure to solar, energy storage, and sustainable infrastructure.
Mechanical Engineering Cooperation Ukrainian executives visited Germany’s leading mechanical engineering companies — CHIRON Group, TRUMPF, RAUCH Landmaschinenfabrik, and Leuze Electronic — alongside the LogiMAT intralogistics trade fair, gaining deep exposure to precision manufacturing, laser technology, automation, and agricultural machinery.

Turkmenistani executives and decision-makers explored economic cooperation opportunities and initiated targeted business contacts with leading German companies and industry partners.
A joint delegation from Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan explored economic cooperation opportunities in the food industry and smart farming sector — examining how German expertise in agricultural technology and food production can be applied in Central Asian markets
An essential element of the programme are B2B meetings — individual, tailored sessions with German partners. We support our participants in establishing direct business contacts and conducting targeted negotiations with potential German business partners.
Participants benefit from first-hand practical programme experience, reporting significant improvements in their home companies — from new human resources practices and innovation management systems to fruitful win-win partnerships with German companies.
